Prof. Jan De Brabandere was born in Gent in 1928. He studied Latin-Greek humanities and later philosophy-psychology-theology at the faculty of Saint Thomas in Leuven. He studied organ and composition at the conservatories of Leuven and Ghent and modern choral composition at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome.
In this work he writes about some studentical jokes which took place in Leuven. The most famous of which is by far the stunt where a lookalike of King Baudouin the first visited the school of the Sacred Heart in Heverlee with his delegation.

Le professeur Jan De Brabandere est né à Gand en 1928. Il a étudié les humanités latino-grecques et plus tard la philosophie-psychologie-théologie à la faculté de Saint-Thomas à Louvain. Il a étudié l’orgue et la composition aux conservatoires de Louvain et de Gand et la composition chorale moderne à l’Accademia Santa Cecilia à Rome.
Dans cet ouvrage, il parle de quelques blagues estudiantines qui ont eu lieu à Louvain. La plus célèbre est de loin la farce où un sosie du roi Baudouin le premier a visité l’école du Sacré-Cœur à Heverlee avec sa délégation.
