Akim Willems v/o Herr W., was born in Turnhout in 1974 and is a Belgian poet/writer, visual artist and bibliophile. He studied communication management at the Artevelde Hogeschool in Gent. He has been Cantor, Praeses and Vice-Praeses at Sepulcrum, Speech Champion at the S.K. Ghendt, Cantor and Vice-Praeses at Veto Gent, Censor at Moeder Ledebergse and Cantor at Castrum.
In this work he offers us a year-by-year review of Castrum’s first 15 years through testimonies, reports, written sources and photographic material.
Castrum was founded on 19/06/1991 by Sergeï Desmidt.
Their colors are red-yellow-red. Their shield is vertically divided with a right field diagonally showing their colors and their monogram in black. The left field is horizontally divided. The top half is red showing the blason of Antwerp. Below is a white banner with the words “Anno 1991”, the year of foundation. The lower half is black with a gold lion with red fangs, claws and tongue. Their motto is “Vivamus ad codicem”, which loosely translates to “living according to the codex”.
Castrum is an independent, pluralistic association that is politically, religiously and philosophically neutral. They unite current and former students of Antwerp.

Dans cet ouvrage, il nous offre une revue année par année des 15 premières années de Castrum par des témoignages, des rapports, des sources écrites et du matériel photographique.
Castrum a été fondé le 19/06/1991 par Sergeï Desmidt.
Leurs couleurs sont rouge-jaune-rouge. Leur blason est divisé verticalement avec un champ droit montrant en diagonale leurs couleurs et leur monogramme en noir. Le champ gauche est divisé horizontalement. La moitié supérieure est rouge et montre le blason d’Anvers. En dessous, une bannière blanche avec les mots “Anno 1991”, l’année de la fondation. La moitié inférieure est noire avec un lion doré aux crocs, griffes et langue rouges. Leur devise est “Vivamus ad codicem”, ce qui se traduit librement par “vivre selon le codex”.
Castrum est une association indépendante, pluraliste et neutre sur le plan politique, religieux et philosophique. Elle réunit les étudiants actuels et anciens d’Anvers.

Akim Willems v/o Herr W., geboren in Turnhout in 1974, is een Belgisch dichter/schrijver, beeldend kunstenaar en bibliofiel. Hij studeerde communicatiemanagement aan de Artevelde Hogeschool in Gent. Hij was Cantor, Praeses en Vice-Praeses bij Sepulcrum, Speechkampioen bij het S.K. Ghendt, Cantor en Vice-Praeses bij Veto Gent, Censor bij Moeder Ledebergse en Cantor bij Catrum.
In dit werk biedt hij ons aan de hand van getuigenissen, verslagen, geschreven bronnen en fotomateriaal een jaaroverzicht van de eerste 15 jaar van Castrum.
Castrum werd opgericht op 19/06/1991 door Sergeï Desmidt.
Hun kleuren zijn rood-geel-rood. Hun schild is verticaal verdeeld met een rechter veld diagonaal met hun kleuren en hun monogram in zwart. Het linker veld is horizontaal verdeeld. De bovenste helft is rood en toont het blazoen van Antwerpen. Daaronder is een wit vaandel met de woorden “Anno 1991”, het jaar van oprichting. De onderste helft is zwart met een gouden leeuw met rode hoektanden, klauwen en tong. Hun motto is “Vivamus ad codicem”, wat losjes vertaald betekent “leven volgens de codex”.
Castrum is een onafhankelijke, pluralistische vereniging die politiek, religieus en filosofisch neutraal is. Zij verenigt huidige en voormalige studenten van Antwerpen.
