This songbook was compiled for the cantus that took place on 13 November 2021 in the hall above bar KFK Hope in Brussels. Given the escalating situation in Belgium regarding the pandemic, it was decided to do this on a small scale with just the members of Academia Studentica and a handful of invited guests. After a few brewery visits, an evening of sea shanties was organised.
Academia Studentica was founded on 10 December 2017 by Jeroen Coenraerds v/o Cap’n, Dan Mazzotta v/o La Mite, Robin Barthels v/o Thanos and Bert Hofmans v/o Canvas.
Our colors are Black-silver-blue with details in gold. Our shield is diagonally divided by a band in our colors from top left to bottom right. The upper field shows the monogram in gold on blue. The lower field shows apollo’s lyre in gold, a cane/club in brown and a wreath on black.
We are an international movement which aims for the study of student folklore in all its forms and propagations. This involves collecting, preserving and publishing studentical traditions and its artifacts, writing articles, organizing cantus and other activities as well as exchange trips with other folklores. We also strive to build and maintain a computerized and physical library of existing works on student folklore.

Ce chansonnier a été compilé pour le cantus qui a eu lieu le 13 novembre 2021 dans la salle du bar KFK Hope à Bruxelles. Compte tenu de l’aggravation de la situation en Belgique concernant la pandémie, il a été décidé de réaliser cet événement à petite échelle avec les membres d’Academia Studentica et quelques invités. Après quelques visites de brasseries, une soirée de chants marins a été organisée.
Academia Studentica a été fondée le 10 décembre 2017 par Jeroen Coenraerds v/o Cap’n, Dan Mazzotta v/o La Mite, Robin Barthels v/o Thanos et Bert Hofmans v/o Canvas.
Nos couleurs sont Noir-argent bleu avec des détails en or. Notre bouclier est divisé en diagonale par une bande à nos couleurs, du haut à gauche au bas à droite. Le champ supérieur montre le monogramme en or sur fond bleu. Le champ inférieur montre la lyre d’Apollon en or, une canne/club en brun et une couronne en noir.
Nous sommes un mouvement international qui vise à l’étude du folklore étudiant sous toutes ses formes et propagations. Cela implique la collecte, la préservation et la publication des traditions étudiantes et de leurs objets, la rédaction d’articles, l’organisation de cantus et d’autres activités ainsi que des voyages d’échange avec d’autres folklores. Nous nous efforçons également de constituer et de maintenir une bibliothèque informatisée et physique des ouvrages existants sur le folklore étudiant.

Dit liedboek werd samengesteld voor de cantus die plaatsvond op 13 November 2021 in de zaal boven bar KFK Hope in Brussel. Gezien de escalerende situatie in België aangaande de pandemie, werd besloten dit op kleine schaal te doen met enkel de leden van Academia Studentica en een handvol genodigden. Na enkele brouwerijbezoeken werd een avond met zeemansliederen georganiseerd.
Academia Studentica werd op 10 december 2017 opgericht door Jeroen Coenraerds v/o Cap’n, Dan Mazzotta v/o La Mite, Robin Barthels v/o Thanos en Bert Hofmans v/o Canvas.
Onze kleuren zijn zwart-zilverblauw met details in goud. Ons schild is diagonaal verdeeld door een band in onze kleuren van linksboven naar rechtsonder. In het bovenste veld staat het monogram in goud op blauw. Het onderste veld toont apollo’s lier in goud, een stok/club in bruin en een krans op zwart.
Wij zijn een internationale beweging die zich richt op de studie van studentenfolklore in al haar vormen en propagaties. Het gaat hierbij om het verzamelen, bewaren en publiceren van studententradities en hun artefacten, het schrijven van artikelen, het organiseren van cantus- en andere activiteiten en het organiseren van uitwisselingsreizen met andere folklores. We streven er ook naar om een geautomatiseerde en fysieke bibliotheek van bestaande werken over studentenfolklore op te bouwen en te onderhouden.
