TauTiTo was founded on the model of the Sąjūdis (tr.: ‘the Movement’. The ‘Renewal Movement of Lithuania’ – in Lithuanian Lietuvos Persitvarkymo Sąjūdis, usually called Sąjūdis for short – is a political organisation, which played an important role in the peaceful struggle for the restoration of Lithuanian independence around 1990. The movement was founded on 3 June 1988; its main leader was Vytautas Landsbergis), when a fine group of friends had already formed and were actively participating in the reconstruction of the Lithuanian state.
TauTiTo came into being when a group of active and enthusiastic students joined this group of friends. The founding meeting of TauTiTo took place in 1997. It was decided that it would be an independent, open, non-political, Catholic student association. The founding meeting was attended by 38 students and some teachers.
The objectives and activities of the association were discussed, the board of the association was approved and the statutes were adopted. The colours, signs and characteristics of the association’s flag and band were approved at the first meeting.
On 9 May 1998 Archbishop Sigitas Tamkevičius dedicated the Association’s flag in the arch-cathedral of Kaunas.
The name TauTiTo refers to the three main values and objectives of the corps:
- nation (Tautiškumas),
- faith (Tikėjimas),
- progress (Tobulėjimas).
They are patriotic citizens who regard sharing their knowledge with others as an important element of self-improvement and progress; for them, faith is both a religious state and, in the broadest sense, a key to everyone’s path to success.
Both men and women are welcome at TauTiTo.
The colours of Tautito are Yellow-Black-Green.

TauTiTo a été fondé sur le modèle du Sąjūdis (tr. : ‘le Mouvement’. Le ‘Mouvement de renouvellement de la Lituanie’ – en lituanien Lietuvos Persitvarkymo Sąjūdis, généralement appelé Sąjūdis en abrégé – est une organisation politique qui a joué un rôle important dans la lutte pacifique pour la restauration de l’indépendance de la Lituanie vers 1990. Le mouvement a été fondé le 3 juin 1988 (son principal dirigeant était Vytautas Landsbergis), alors qu’un beau groupe d’amis s’était déjà formé et participait activement à la reconstruction de l’État lituanien.
TauTiTo a vu le jour lorsqu’un groupe d’étudiants actifs et enthousiastes a rejoint ce groupe d’amis. La réunion fondatrice de TauTiTo a eu lieu en 1997. Il a été décidé qu’il s’agirait d’une association d’étudiants indépendante, ouverte, apolitique et catholique. 38 étudiants et quelques enseignants ont participé à la réunion fondatrice.
Les objectifs et les activités de l’association ont été discutés, le comité de l’association a été approuvé et les statuts ont été adoptés. Les couleurs, les signes et les caractéristiques du drapeau et du band de l’association ont été approuvés lors de la première réunion.
Le 9 mai 1998, l’archevêque Sigitas Tamkevičius a dédié le drapeau de l’association dans l’archicathédrale de Kaunas.
Le nom TauTiTo fait référence aux trois valeurs et objectifs principaux du corps :
- la nation (Tautiškumas),
- la foi (Tikėjimas),
- le progrès (Tobulėjimas).
Ce sont des citoyens patriotes qui considèrent le partage de leurs connaissances avec les autres comme un élément important de l’amélioration de soi et du progrès ; pour eux, la foi est à la fois un état religieux et, au sens le plus large, une clé du chemin de la réussite pour tous.
Les hommes et les femmes sont les bienvenus à TauTiTo.
Les couleurs de Tautito sont Jaune-Noir-Vert.

TauTiTo werd opgericht naar het voorbeeld van de Sąjūdis (tr.: ‘de Beweging’. De ‘Vernieuwingsbeweging van Litouwen’ – in het Litouws Lietuvos Persitvarkymo Sąjūdis, meestal kortweg Sąjūdis genoemd – is een politieke organisatie, die rond 1990 een belangrijke rol heeft gespeeld bij de vreedzame strijd voor herstel van de Litouwse onafhankelijkheid. De beweging werd gesticht op 3 juni 1988; de belangrijkste leider was Vytautas Landsbergis.), toen een fraaie vriendengroep zich al had gevormd en actief deelnam aan de wederopbouw van de Litouwse staat.
TauTiTo ontstond toen een groep actieve en enthousiaste studenten zich bij de vrienden aansloot. De oprichtingsvergadering van TauTiTo vond plaats in 1997. Er werd besloten dat het een onafhankelijke, open, niet-politieke, katholieke studentenvereniging zou worden. De oprichtingsvergadering werd bijgewoond door 38 studenten en enkele docenten.
Ook werden de doelstellingen en activiteiten van de vereniging besproken, werd het bestuur van de vereniging goedgekeurd en werden de statuten aangenomen. De kleuren, tekens en kenmerken van de vlag en het lint van de vereniging werden tijdens de eerste vergadering goedgekeurd.
Op 9 mei 1998 wijdde aartsbisschop Sigitas Tamkevičius de vlag van de vereniging in de aartskathedraal van Kaunas.
De naam TauTiTo verwijst naar de drie belangrijkste waarden en doelstellingen van het corps:
- natie (Tautiškumas),
- geloof (Tikėjimas),
- vooruitgang (Tobulėjimas)
Zij zijn vaderlandslievende burgers die het delen van hun kennis met anderen beschouwen als een belangrijk element van zelfverbetering en vooruitgang; geloof is voor hen op zijn beurt zowel een religieuze staat als in de ruimste zin een sleutel voor iedereen op zijn weg naar succes.
Zowel mannen als vrouwen zijn welkom bij TauTiTo.
De kleuren van Tautito zijn Geel-Zwart-Groen.
