Saint Verhaegen or St-V takes place every year on 20 November and celebrates the foundation of the ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles which was founded on 20 November 1834 by Pierre-Théodore Verhaegen.
In 1969 the ULB was split into the French-speaking ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Dutch-speaking VUB – Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

La Saint Verhaegen ou St-V a lieu chaque année le 20 novembre et célèbre la fondation de l’ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles qui fut fondée le 20 novembre 1834 par Pierre-Théodore Verhaegen.
En 1969, l’ULB a été scindée en deux : l’ULB francophone – Université Libre de Bruxelles et la VUB néerlandophone – Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
