History
Diana was founded in 1960 by Jan Depuydt, student of the then Regaschool in Leuven. The name Diana comes from the contraction of dieticians and analysts, the two main fields of study offered at that time. It is also a nod to the goddess Diana from Roman mythology, who was worshipped for hunting and the night. This was associated with the student who spends the night chasing love. Many customs and traditions at Diana are therefore based on the goddess of the same name. For example, they organise the infamous TD "Night of the Hunt" every year.
Until 1995, Diana was associated with the so-called Regaschool, until then an independent high school. In 1995, the Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven (KHLeuven) was founded, and five departments in Leuven and Heverlee joined forces. From then on, the Rega school was called the Rega department of the KHLeuven. Since 1999, Diana is a member of the Overkoepel Kringraad Leuven (OKeR) together with the four other student associations of the UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL).
In her history, Diana has known several bars as their fakbar. Until 1999, they were located at the fish market, at the Montmartre and at the Vagant. When this last bar closed down, the then board took the decision to use the ground floor of The Pocket, in the J. P. Minckelersstraat 98 close to the Rega department, as a fakbar. Although Diana's fak night was always on Sunday and the fakbar was only used then, the pool bar under which the fakbar was situated was open every day. It was therefore a popular place for many students to seek refreshment and quench their thirst during their jumping hours.
The KHLeuven did not stand still, however, and decided in 2007 to merge the departments of Rega and Nursing and Midwifery into the new Health Care and Technology department. The students moved into a brand new campus at the university hospital. One of the auditoriums in this new building was named Rega as a reference to the history of Diana's old department.
In 2008, they moved their fakbar to the upper floor of The Pocket. However, after many happy years that consisted of cheap and fun entertainment, this came to an end due to a disagreement with the then owner. It was during the Halloween night on 2 November 2008 that the decision was made to stop the activities immediately. Until the early morning, the former board was busy breaking down and collecting Diana's belongings, and transporting them to the Health Care and Technology department at Gasthuisberg.
They visited several pubs and after some time, on the 9th of November, they could officially move into a newly started business on the corner of the Oude Markt called Mephist'O. However, this pub also closed its doors and again they had to look for a new fakbar. Again, they fell in love with a recently started business, the Maxim'O.
When Maxim'o also closed its doors in 2021, the fak nights moved to the Popclub, near the Oude Markt.
Since 2014, the KHLeuven is part of UC Leuven-Limburg.

Over the years, Diana has grown into an association that is not only committed to the party side of student life, but also to many other facets of life that today's student comes into contact with. They also offer sports and cultural activities, organise an annual gala and provide a warm welcome for first-year students to their department.
Today, Diana represents about 1700 students spread over the following fields:

- Graduate in biotechnology
- Graduate in electromechanical systems
- Graduate in Internet of Things
- Graduate in programming
- Graduate in system and network management
Colours
Diana's colours are Red-White.
The shield is divided vertically. On the right is a field in the association colours and the Zirkel in gold. The left field shows a bow, quiver and the moon as a direct reference to the Roman goddess Diana.

Couleur
Diana's officers wear a white and red board sash, with the shield embroidered on it. Above it is their name, and at the bottom, their academic year and position.
Members wear a Member's band in white-red with gold percussion.
