Didactica was the student circle of the Department of Teacher Education (DLO) of the Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven (KHLeuven).

History

Didactica was founded in 1999 as a student association of the teacher training program at the Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven (KHLeuven). It represented students of kindergarten, primary and secondary education.

Every Tuesday they could be found in their fakbar, 't Archief. (Zeelstraat 1, 3000 Leuven).

In October 2014, KH Leuven and Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg (KH Limburg) merged to form UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL). The teacher training within Groep T, of which Educata was the circle, was also housed in this new institution. In 2016, it was no longer practical for the UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) to cooperate with both circles, both of which were working within the same study programme. Therefore, Didactica and Educata merged to form the new circle Docentica.

Colours

Didactica's colours were Red-White-Red.

The shield is divided vertically. On the right is a field in the association colours and the Zirkel in black. On the left is a graduation hat ("Mortarboard") in black on a white field with the slogan "Docere Doceri".

Couleur

The board members of Didactica wore a red-white-red board sash, with the shield embroidered on it. Above that was their name, and at the bottom their academic year and position.

Members wore a member's band in red-white-red.
