Farmaceutica is the faculty circle for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the KU Leuven.

History
In 1926 Rik Bauweraerts founded the Farmaceutische Kring. For the first time a so-called "Verslagboek van den pharmaceutischen kring" is written. The board then consists of a chairman, a vice-chairman, an honorary chairman (a function assigned to a professor), a treasurer and a scriptor.
In 1958, the reporting of the activities is given a new look and for the first time one can leaf through De Mortier. These editions are still a report of what was discussed at meetings and organised for and by the students. The report book soon evolves into informative leisure literature, in the form of a regularly published Mortier.
In 1965, "De Faun" was born. This magazine, which usually consisted of only four pages, was published in cooperation with Acco, which was common in most student circles at the time. The main purpose was to inform the student about activities and events in and around the faculty. "De Mortier appeared alongside it from time to time.
With the help of a number of willing professors, the Farmaceutische Kring officially gets the status of a non-profit association in 1966. The "Farmahuis" is founded and forms the operating base for the organisation of many events of the very young association. The Farmahuis changed addresses several times over the years: first at Parkstraat 3, near the Naamsestraat under the name Mortier. In 1979, it moved as Fakbar to Parkstraat 29 and was renamed De Stamper. That same year, the pharmacists renamed it Farmaceutica.
In 1982 the society moved to 69 Parkstraat and in 1986 to 185 Parkstraat. In 1990 the fakbar moves to Parkstraat 96 and is renamed De Gelule, to move again in 2001 to Parkstraat 4 and be renamed De Capsule. De Capsule" closes its doors in 2012. On 16 October 2013, the new Fakbar Den Bijsluiter opens its doors at Brusselsestraat 91, to finally close them in 2017.
Colours
The colours of Farmaceutica are green and white.
The shield was inspired by a similar one in the Justus Lipsius College ('De Just'), but with the inscription 'ora et labora' (Pray and work).
The caption was adapted to the Latin 'labo et bibo' (I work and I drink). Labo in this case refers to laboratory activities. The symbols found on the shield also refer to this: on the side of 'labo' is a mortar, the symbol of the apothecary. From this, a snake winds its way to the other side, the pleasure, the drink and its consequences, in other words the venom, represented by the snake. In the middle is the cross, as a symbol for a medical profession. The main colour used is grass-green, which often appears in symbols for pharma.
Couleur
The Praesidium wears Couleur in the form of board sashes.
The first-year students wear novice bands.
